The Green year's Featured Vendor Program highlights businesses and organizations whose products (or services) reflect a mission to support the health and well being of people and the planet. By joining our program, your products will become an integral part of our mission to make healthy and sustainable products available year round for celebrations and holidays.

Although there is a trend toward all things green, a focus on healthy and eco-wise products for special occasions is not yet the norm (even for individuals and families who typically lead a ‘green’ lifestyle.) The Green Year is out to change this by making healthy and sustainable holiday and special occasion choices easy. The Green Year's Featured Vendor program enables your products to get noticed and chosen, whether they're sold online or in retail stores.

In addition to certifying that your products meet our criteria, The Green Year seal indicates to consumers that a portion of your products will be given to our non-profit beneficiary, Treeswing. Earmarking a portion of sales creates a winning situation for everyone involved and helps make choosing your products even easier for consumers who polls show, are more likely to choose or promote products whose purchase actively supports a worthy cause.

Featured products will initially be highlighted as part of Treeswing's Green Halloween initiative, a nationwide movement to create healthy and Earth-friendly holiday traditions, starting with Halloween. (See our press page for more on the Green Halloween media storm of 2007.)

The Green Year featured products will be listed in Green Halloween's web content as well as on our Featured Vendors page, Buy Treats & Treasures, which is linked directly from our homepage. Only featured products, with a full, customized product description and link to your homepage, will be included on this page. The Green Year featured vendors may also offer product samples (as well as literature, coupons, etc.) to be handed out at Green Halloween events.

The Green year Featured Vendor Criteria

The decision to grant permission to use The Green Year seal will be made by The Green year team based on our assessment of how well a product(s) meets our two main criteria: good for people and good for the planet (including packaging choices.) Please contact us for specific information.

For products where The Green Year seal cannot be applied or does not make sense, contact us for ideas on how you can still be invovled in our program.
